Beginning November 14th, kids ages 5-15 will have a chance at chef stardom by participating in the Avocados from Mexico Mini Chef Video Contest. The contest aims to educate parents on the nutritious benefits avocados have on growing children and how easy they can be incorporated into kid-friendly meals due to their versatility and Shrek-green color!
Participants will be asked to upload a 1-3 minute video of their child preparing a kid-friendly avocado recipe. The contest will be hosted on the Avocados from Mexico website where participants will have access to simple recipes, nutrition facts and even the Avocados from Mexico jingle to add to their video.
Ten finalists will be chosen by a panel of food and entertainment experts based on the chef’s personality and the presence of avocados. Final judging will be open to the public on the Avocados from Mexico YouTube Channelwhere the video with the most “Likes” willbe named the Grand Prize Winner and receive $1,000 cash, an HD camcorder, Nintendo 3D with 2 games and a personalizedMini Chef jacket. The winner will also have their video and recipe featured on the kid’s section of the AFM website. Nine finalists also win big with camcorders, Nintendo 3Ds and a personalized chef’s jacket.
