Some people have all the luck and some people are just hopeless. ¬†Things never go their way in life and it seems as if they are destined to live in a really sad story. And while this sort of existence is not typical for the makings of a video contest, ProjectED has pulled some great descriptive words out of it to help you get creative and educate the masses. Enter, the “Hapless & Hopeless” video contest!

To enter, select one of the following words: dishevelled, erratic, stoop shouldered, gruff, sullen, unsavory, seedy, rumpled. Create a short 1 minute or less video that effectively and creatively teaches the meaning of the word. Think you got it? You must display the word, part of speech, definition, and an example sentence on the screen at appropriate points during your video. Check out ProjectED’s VIDEO LIBRARY to get some inspiration for your entry.

2 lucky winners will receive $1,000 for his or her winning video (1 under 18 and 1 over 18). They have added a “Word Winner” category as well which will go to submissions that convey definitions exceptionally well. Word Winners will be chosen by ProjectED’s panel of judges. Head over to the contest page and get started today!

13+, 1 minute-, Deadline: March 31st 2014
