The Sounds of Music Video Contest – $1,000

Music is a big part of our lives and has an uncanny ability to bring people together. With ProjectEd’s “The Sounds of Music Video Contest” it aims to do just that…with a bit of video. The site has created the contest as a way to educate the public of some music related terms whose meaning may not be widely known. Whether you’re a filmmaker, animator or just creative with a camera, it’s time to fire up your medium and get some ideas moving!

To enter, create up to a 1 minute video that defines one of the following words: melodious, discordant, warble, audible, trill, refrain, strident, and inflection. Your “video definition” MUST display the word’s part of speech, definition and example in a sentence. Wondering how that might look? Don’t worry. ProjectEd has lots of previous entries for you to get inspired by. Take a look at a great sample below!

ProjectEd has been very consistent with their cash prizes and this contest is no exception. They are awarding two grand prize winners who will each receive a check for $1,000! Each winner will be selected from an age category of 13-17 and 18+. A cash prize of $250 will also be awarded to one lucky runner up entry. Head over to the contest page to find a full list of definitions for each word along with the full set of contest rules. We look forward to seeing what you come up with!
