Lots of Laughs Video Contest – $1,000

If you haven’t heard of ProjectED, they’re a video and GIF contest website set out to educate the masses by offering great cash prizes for informative videos. They have recently launched the “Lots of Laughs” video contest which continues this tradition. There is a $1,000 grand prize and the chance for your work to be seen in classrooms nationwide. Let’s get started!

Start by selecting one of the vocabulary words from the contest site. Since the theme is “Lots of Laughs,” the words are: wry, self-deprecating, homespun, folly, irreverent, vulgar, rueful, levity. Don’t know what these mean? Using the definition from the contest page, you will be creating a video that defines the word essentially creating a visual definition. Your video only needs to be less than a minute, but it MUST include only one word (using the definitions provided) an display the word, it’s part of speech and definition, and an example sentence. The ProjectED team is also giving away two big cash prizes for this contest. $1,000 will go to the first place selection in both the youth category and the adult category. There’s also a $200 for the runner-up. Check out the contest link below. Good luck!
