For ProjectED’s latest video contest, the educational competition site is focusing on the opinions of experts and fakers. The team at PE has put together a list of words that define people who are experienced on a topic and those who pretend to know. Your job is to create a short video definition that creatively teaches the viewer of the word’s meaning. Select one word from the following list: connoisseurship, induced, virtuoso, to practice imposture, quack, divining, prodigy, strategist, and scholar.

Next, create a short video utilizing the definition found on the CONTEST PAGE. You will need to display, at appropriate points, the word or phrase, its part of speech and definition, and an example sentence. Check out some of the following samples from past PE contests below.

“Inconsistency”

“Schemer”

Two lucky winners will receive a $1,000 grand prize. Each winner will be chosen from an age category (13-17 and 18+) and will also have his or her work displayed on ProjectEd’s site. Head over to the contest page below to get started. Good luck!
