Some big networks are teaming up with the New York TV Festival and for you, that means big opportunity! In its 3rd year, the A&E network and NYTVF are bringing you the “A&E Unscripted Pipeline.” A&E has become a destination for unscripted TV (Ducky Dynasty, First 48, Storage Wars) and knows that there are more incredible stories out there yet to be revealed. This is a competition offering you the chance to show off your real world producing skills!

Since this is a development contest, you need to do a few things to enter. First, create a 1-2 page treatment describing the unscripted format for your show. Next, create a short video (whether it’s a pilot, teaser, or sample of an episode) that is 2 – 4 minutes in length. Be sure to check out the free AUDIO NETWORK music library they’re offering for use with your video!

Your entries will be screened by a committee of NYTVF officials and be narrowed down to 25 semi-finalists. From there, the 25 entries will be presented to A&E development execs who will select 5 official finalists whom will then receive notes on the submissions and be given $2,500 to shoot short presentations to further explore their subjects. Finally, one winner will be awarded $10,000 and will participate in the production of the pilot episode. Sounds good to us! Visit the contest page below and get filming!
