Hormel and Poptent have brought back the “Black Label Bacon” series for 2014 and it’s looking to top last year’s incredible contest. If you don’t remember, “Black Label Bacon” is Hormel’s signature bacon that has a huge (and still growing) fan base. The brand debuted a video assignment last year that looked to bring bacon inspired stories to life and it wants to keep the tradition going. This time, however, they want to feature these short films digitally and at their live event on the flight deck of the U.S.S Midway in San Diego, CA. Are you ready?
Create a short video (6 minutes or less) that brings to life a bacon inspired story. Show you or your characters passions for bacon. There are no limits here: inspiring, real, funny, edgy, stirring, stimulating, insightful, positive, cool, hip, trendy, refreshing, surprising. Videos should aspire to create likable and engaging characters. Feel free to experiment with different genres as well. Documentary, romance, drama, comedy, adventure or a cross-hash of multiple styles. Non- fiction or fiction are both acceptable. Check out some of last year’s winners below for reference.

Forced perspective is the name of the game in Ruby Tuesday’s new video and photo contest. The restaurant chain has launched a new line of gourmet sliders they are calling “Mini Masterpieces” and have used this as inspiration for the contest.
