If you remember way back when (January), we announced that Sunkist was having a video contest and it was all about their “Power Orange” aka “The Cara Cara.” We are actually fans of this fruit so we were excited to see what you guys would do with it. Well it turns out, A LOT! The grand prize winner created a really simple and cool concept for the video. It follows a Cara Cara through an outdoor adventure as it rolls and rolls until it finds its new home. The execution of this concept is great! Its effect is done rather well and it feels like it nailed the brand message (coming soon to TV?). Be sure to check out the grand prize and first place winners below along with the full gallery HERE. Poptent’s recently hosted “Popsicle Stick” video assignment turned out to have some really great submissions and while there were only supposed to be 3 purchases, 4 were actually made (another reason you should always submit to Poptent assignments). We want to send a big congrats out to creators Jugglingwolf, Joel Berry, and Tony Teofilo whose spots “Popmotion,” “Popsicle Pops Poppin’ All Day Long,” “To Make A Monster,” and “How To Be A Monster” are all earning their creators $7,500. Plus since Mr. Teofilo won for both of his submissions, it looks like a hefty $15,000 is coming his way.

We also want to give an honorable mention to one of our favorite submissions DonPLe’s “Love at First Popsicle.” We really thought it would make its way into the winners circle, but it may have been too cinematic for the brand and not utilized the riddles/jokes on the Popsicle sticks which was definitely a requirement. Still worth a watch!
